Moler's Camera
Finely focused on stellar service

As the city's oldest camera shop, Moler's Camera has history to share. "My dad, Orville, started the retail business in 1946," says owner Bob Moler. "He started repairing cameras during World War II, when you couldn't easily buy them and he saw the need for the business. He was an amateur photographer and good at repairing cameras".

Since that first storefront on East First Street in downtown Wichita, Moler's Camera has continued to provide top-of-the-line products and service. Today, in addition to selling cameras, Moler's carries a full line of accessories, albums and studio lighting equipment for the professional as well as the amateur photographer. Besides photo equipment repair, photo processing and printing, the store has expanded into digital imaging, image restoration, and video/DVD transfer. "Our video services are a big part of our business," Moler says. "We will take family slides, home movies, audio tapes and records and convert them into DVD or CD. We also restore old photos that have faded or been damaged and we make poster sized prints up to 44" wide for both commercial and personal use."

The Moler's Camera staff of experts is knowledgeable and able to help educate customers on different camera features and photography techniques. "My staff knows a lot about cameras and photography," Moler says. "They are hobbyists who are well versed in today's digital cameras."

Moler's sons and daughter are involved in the family business, and Moler says the family tradition is based on service. "It's because of that focus that our business lives on," he says. "We enjoy serving our customers. A lot of them have been with us for many, many years."
