Clothing, accessories, home furnishings
Reclayme Consignment, 504 S. Edgemoor, is a designer consignment store
featuring new and like-new clothing, outerwear and accessories for
women, men and children. In addition, the store also sells home
accessories, including artwork.
"We have the best designer
labels, and we have a full range of sizes for women - up to 5X," said
Dottee Thompson, who along with Sandra Elmore, owns Reclayme
Consignment. "We're a full upscale resale shop."
Although the store opened its 3,500-square-foot showroom on the
southeast corner of Edgemoor and Kellogg a mere two months ago, already
it's filled with well-known brands, like St. Croix, Liz Claiborne,
Escada, Polo, Gap, Lucky and Tommy Hilfiger. Discerning parents will
recognize a number of designer boutique brands. In addition, Reclayme's
jewelry and accessories selection includes a variety of pieces at
attractive price-points.
"At Reclayme, name brands fill the store, but we have prices that make
sure we can reach every single person, ranging from $6 to $300," said
Sandra.
"We make sure somebody else enjoys what you bring to us," said
Dottee. "We consign all those wonderful things you paid nice prices
for, and then leave in your closet because they don't fit or because
you're ready for a change."
Of course, this also means that buyers at Reclayme Consignment must be
choosy in their selections. "We have turned some items down (that were
offered by individuals for consignment)," said Dottee. "It has to be
that way because we want each customer to walk through our store and
love what they see. Even our previously owned items look absolutely
like brand new."
And, just in time for the holidays, Reclayme
Consignment is offering a limited time promotion. For the cost of a $50
gift card, Reclayme will put together a complete in-store makeover,
including an outfit, and hair and makeup tips.
Dottee and Sandra know first-hand what a difference a new look can
make. The two recently received makeovers from stylist Kathy Marymann.
We have a host of people to whom they are grateful. "Thank you to our
friends and family who have supported us, who helped us move to this
location, who showed us a lot of love. We want to especially thank our
husbands, Joseph Elmore and T.C. Thompson, because without them, this
wouldn't have been possible," said Dottee and Sandra.
Dottee previously owned 2nd To None, a retail consignment shop on South
Rock Road, and worked for nearly two decades at Dillard's and Henry's.
Sandra, who worked as an inspector at Spirit AeroSystems, retired three
years ago. They met while attending the same church, and after being
prompted by a recurring dream, Sandra asked Dottee if she'd like to
become a partner in a new consignment store venture - just as Dottee
was praying for direction in her own career.
"It was exactly that
clear cut, and the business has been growing phenomenally every since,"
said Sandra. "We are truly a fairy tale of a business."
