Can I bring my own furniture from home?
Yes, this is your new home and we want to to feel comfortable with your own familiar things.
Can I bring my pet?
Maybe. Avita Senior Living needs to understand your situation.
Can I use my long-term care insurance? Absolutely. Long-term care insurance can be used an any Kansas state licensed facility; however, it does not cover Independent Living residences.
Does Medicare cover any costs?
No. Assisted Living is not considered a skilled service. We do accept Medicare in our a affiliated skilled nursing facility, Family Health & Rehabilitation located on the property.
Am I free to come-and-go as I please?
Absolutely. This is your home and you can continue to live as your prefer. The entry door is open during the daylight hours and locked at night for security. Each resident will have a code to enter the building a night at the main entrance and the entrances located near the garages.
Do you provide garages for my car and storage units?
Yes. For an additional monthly cost, we have 8 garages and 16 storage units on-site.
Can I eat in my apartment?
Yes. We provide room service and it is included in your monthly base rent.
How does the emergency call system work when I need it?
Our residents my choose to wear a wrist button or wear a pendant around the neck. When you need it, push the button to signal the nurse. Each apartment bedroom has a speaker system to notify the problem. A nurse will then be there to assist you.
